My support System
Soon after I got fully involved in Art, I realized that I need someone trustworthy and a fully devoted person with me, to support me and share my work burden. First, I was introduced to one Bellina David by friend Hemant Dhane. She was a nice girl with an experience of about 3 years, in running and managing an art Gallery. She arranged two art camps for ICAC one at Dehgam for Ahmedabad Artists for creating 2’ x 2’ Painting and second; a Print making Camp at Kanoria Art Center, Ahmedabad. But she left abruptly within six months, without even informing, and even after 7-8 years, she is yet to be seen anywhere.
Next, I met Ms. Swati Doshi an extremely intelligent, innovative and creative lady, with an experience of about 7-8 years of running an online gallery in Mumbai. She got pregnant within a few months of joining ICAC and left the job. Now she is busy in raising her two sweet kids, but some day once her children grow up, I expect her to come back with ICAC.
Next came Virangana Soni, she came from Udaipur, where she was running her own art gallery. Virangana was very sweet and charming young girl, like a child, but intelligent enough to support the events of ICAC. She stayed with me for more than 5 years in which she initiated and conducted several art camps and exhibitions successfully. She was aware of and maintained everything for ICAC, like Omana did for all my other business.
Subsequently, I have held several art camps at Dehgam & Nagothane and also taken about 28 senior artists to London and Scotland. We held several art competitions and Graphic Print Exchange programs. Several exhibitions at Jehangir Art Gallery, P. L. Deshpande Gallery and Amdavad Ni Gufa also at Baroda. Participated thrice in India Art Festival, Mumbai, twice took several artists and their art works to exhibit at World Art, Duba.
I created a history in the art world by exhibiting more than 400 Graphic Art Prints in a single show at Jehangir Art Gallery, occupying Exhibition Halls 1, 2 & 3 and also the Auditorium. Awarded one time scholarship to 225 art students and provided free art material to above 500 budding and talented artists from rural areas. Held some large scale Appreciable Art Fairs with participation of above 300 artists in 4 such art fairs.
